"Are you pregnant?"

No this article is not only for females, it is for everyone. The pregnancy I’m talking about is not physical. “Are you pregnant with dreams and goals?” “What are you looking forward to in the near or distant future?” Don’t spend your days basking in “nothing.” Find something to believe in. Find something to look forward to. Find something to reach for.
Having dreams and goals is important. I believe someone who doesn’t have any dreams or goals is already a failure. Even if your dreams seem too big for you to ever realize, keep believing and reaching for them. All things are possible to those who believe. Faith is the key.
Having faith in yourself is great, however faith in God is most important. It is through Christ that Philippians 4:13 tells us we can do “all things” with His strength. You see to be physically pregnant is to be in expectation of a new life.  During pregnancy females go through several different stages before giving birth to a child. Likewise the father of the “soon to be” also goes through different levels of emotions.
There is the anticipation stage. In this stage the expectant parents may feel a range of emotions from excitement to being overwhelmed with the pending arrival. There is the preparation stage. During this stage the parents busy themselves getting ready and making “preparations” for their new arrival. Finally there is the operation stage. During this stage the waiting is over and the time has come to operate in their new calling of being actual parents.
The same is true when you are pregnant with dreams and goals. You must walk in expectation, preparation and operation when it comes to you desires, dreams and goals. Without these three stages you can find yourself stuck in what I call the “should’a, would’a stage.” Meaning, you should have or would have reached for your goals only you allowed something or someone, (even yourself) to detour you. While reaching for and running after your dreams it is important to continue to obey God during the process. Galatians 5:7 says “You ran well, who hindered you from obeying the truth?”
There will be times you may want to abort your dreams, and give up. I encourage you to be steadfast and trust God to help you make it to your last “trimester.” There may be labor pains but you must keep pushing in order to deliver a healthy productive dream.
Think about it!
